ADRIAN (Mich.) – Coming April 27, 2010, more than 100,000 new SKUs will be introduced to the Merillat Classic product line — Merillat’s largest product launch ever. This expansion will give homeowners and builders everything they need to create inspired living spaces for everyday life. Offerings include new finishes and glazes, a new door style and product enhancements.

New Finishes

Recognizing the popularity of painted white finishes, Merillat is introducing Chiffon, the first painted option in the Merillat Classic line. Chiffon has a creamy white tone; its comforting and inviting color is infused with a hint of warmth.  Chiffon will be available on Maple.

The following new glazes add depth to Chiffon: Desert glaze offers a brown undertone, while Tuscan glaze offers a hint of light grey.

Meeting the need for a fresh approach to Cherry is the new Amaretto finish.  When this finish is combined with the refined grain of Cherry, the result is a warm, natural brownish look.  Amaretto with the new Java glaze takes on a dark brown appearance.

New Door Style

Merillat Classic Tolani is a versatile door style that fits perfectly into traditional settings; however, it has the ability to adapt to many décors depending on finishes, decorative hardware and accents.

“The beauty of this door style lies in its simplicity, with straight lines and right angles,” said Paul Radoy, manager of design services for the Merillat. “It presents the perfect option for homeowners who want a clean, understated look.”

The door has a recessed center panel design with extra wide stiles and rails, and a one-piece slab drawer front.  It is available in Maple and Cherry wood species.

Product Enhancements

Homeowners will soon have many more options when purchasing Merillat Classic cabinetry, as the line is expanding to include more configuration selections such as butt doors, and additional organizational and decorative accessories.  The following examples are meant to help homeowners get the most out of their kitchens:

• Butt Doors allow for an open space when both cabinet doors are open as there’s no center rail on the cabinet frame.  This new option offers homeowners the added convenience of easily storing wide awkward times such as serving platters and board games.
• Bookcases in a variety of widths, depths and heights will allow homeowners to create the perfect place in their kitchen, office or bathroom to display everything from practical cookbooks to picture frames.
• Starter Molding and Tapered Legs are two new decorative options that can turn ordinary kitchens into something extraordinary.  They offer one way to get a custom look without the custom price.
• Pegged Deep Drawer Organizers provide ample width and depth as well as the special peg board bottom which allows homeowners to keep their dishware, pots and pans tidy and organized at all times.

All the new Merillat Classic SKUs add to Merillat’s continuing effort to provide a competitive advantage while giving designers, builders and homeowners even more design flexibility to create distinctive kitchens and baths.
