Merillat Cabinetry continues its leadership in beautifully connecting form and function with the latest new product launch in its Merillat Classic line. With an eye on the latest trends affecting home décor and cabinetry renovations, Merillat now offers new solutions to meet the hottest must-haves—white kitchens, universal design and the need for budget-conscious options without compromising style. These new additions are part of a broader product launch in 2012 to ensure Merillat offers the best selection of stylish, quality products at a variety of price levels.
“Merillat works closely with consumers and professionals to provide beautiful options that meet the most sought-after design and functionality needs,” said Sarah Reep, director of designer relations and education for Merillat. “This launch reflects trends that are here to stay; an important factor in any kitchen and bath remodel.”
White Hot Yet Timeless
White kitchens continue to grow in popularity. Merillat’s new Cotton paint finish is an on-trend, bright white paint that serves as the perfect backdrop to colorful accents and a complement to a wide range of appliance finishes, floor treatments and countertop materials. The new Cotton finish is available on select Maple door styles.
“Today’s families are looking for fresh, bright and inviting spaces. After years of economic hardship, a trend toward clean white lines speaks to a feeling of optimism,” said Reep.
The National Kitchen & Bath Association agrees. According to its annual trend report, white kitchens are “a constant in kitchen design.”
Inspired by modern design, the new Bellingham door style pairs form with function and beauty for the budget-conscious consumer. The full overlay, recessed-panel door style is available in two preferred wood species—Maple and Cherry. Merillat is also expanding its popular Tolani door style with the addition of a three-piece door front and glass door option.
Universal Design Is Good Design
With Merillat, universal design can fit seamlessly into home plans to accommodate the growing trend of multigenerational dwellings and aging in place. Merillat offers new universal design options, including a universal-access 5 1/2-inch toe kick, making it easy to incorporate universal design options with standard design. Also included is a universal base table (pictured), adding much-desired workspace in the kitchen. And finally universal-access cabinets, including corner revolving and Lazy Susan 36-inch options, will enable L-shaped kitchens to function beautifully. With 51.4 million Americans living in multigenerational homes, now is the time to incorporate universal design into remodeling plans.
“Merillat options are plentiful and we are thrilled to provide even more design solutions for designers and homeowners to create a space that works for all ages,” said Reep. “This launch brings forward several designer-requested products that will help add finishing touches to kitchens and baths.”
